Color Mode

CMYK color mode suitable for use in an image to be printed. 

Color mode consists of four ink colors percentage, is

• Cyan,

• Magenta,

• Yellow (Yellow),

• Black (Black).

As with the use of ink on the printing machine / printer, the more ink is used, the prints will be more concentrated. The smaller the value of the percentage of C, M, Y, K, the result will be more transparent (depending on background color). Conversely the higher the percentage of its value, the color becomes darker. For example, to produce a black color, CMYK is required with each of the percentage of 100% as shown in figure 3.2.

Lab Color Mode

Color Mode has three components, namely

• brightness (Lightness)

• a component (with a range of green color to red),

• b component (blue color to yellow range)

Brightness values (Lightness) is between 0 to 100, while the value of the components a and b are in the range -128 to 127, or between -120 and 120 on the color palette (color palette is discussed in Sub-chapter 3.11).

bitmap Mode

Within this mode there are only two colors: black and white, without any degree of gray.

grayscale Mode

Grayscale mode consists of grayish-256 degrees, starting from 0 (black) to 255 (white). value

This can also be measured by the percentage of ink colors like black (0% means no color / white, 100% means black).
